Meet Our Staff

Lathrop Animal Services employs three full time employees. To reach any of our staff members during regular business hours, please call the office at 209-941-7240.


Department Manager:  Becky Enneking                

beckyBecky Enneking has been with Lathrop Animal Services since 1990.  Becky studied Animal Science at Cosumnes River College and is a Registered Veterinary Technician with the State of Californian since 1981.  After graduation, she worked for 6 years at veterinary hospitals in the Bay Area and Manteca.  Becky also worked 4 years at Antioch Animal Services and has also completed both the basic and advanced Animal Law Enforcement Academies.  Becky is currently the Secretary of the Board for the California Animal Control Directors Association and sits on several committees, including membership, euthanasia instructor’s certification and the recently established emergency preparedness committee.

 

Animal Services Officers (ASOs) serve the public as the frontline of defense to protect the health and safety of humans and animals.  Animal Services Officers are responsible for enforcing local animal ordinances as well as State Laws, including those regarding the humane treatment of animals.  ASOs follow up on reports of cruelty and neglect, capture and shelter lost and injured animals, investigate all bite cases and handle suspected rabid animals, pick up dead or injured animals as well as euthanize animals.  ASOs also provide educational information to the community about animals including, their care, how to foster a good animal/human bond and will make presentations at schools, day cares, etc.  

 

Animal Services Officer:     Tiffany Buchan

Tiffany Buchan has been with Lathrop Animal Services since October 2005.  Prior to this, Tiffany worked for Stockton Animal Control for 5 years as an Animal Control Assistant and Foster Program Coordinator and also worked 4 years for Walker Veterinary Hospital in Stockton.  Tiffany studied Animal Science at Cosumnes River College and is a Registered Veterinary Technician with the State of California since 1997.  In 1993, Tiffany was on the Equestrian Team for two years while attending Fresno State studying Art History.  Tiffany has also completed the Animal Law Enforcement Academy.



Animal Services Officer:     Dawn Wood

Dawn Wood has been with Lathrop Animal Services since October 2006.  Prior to this, Dawn worked for Lodi Animal Services as a volunteer assisting in the office and in the kennels.  Dawn has also worked on a ranch for 6 years taking care of 23 horses and a variety of other animals.  Dawn studied Animal Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has completed the Animal Law Enforcement Academy.



 

Animal Services Assistant:  Venecia Brown

Venecia Brown has been with Lathrop Animal Services since November 2006.  She has worked at Community Pet Clinic in Manteca for the past 6 years as an office assistant and assistant to the veterinarians.  Prior to this, Venicia lived on and worked at a horse ranch in Grass Valley for 11 years, training Cutting & Barrel Racing horses.
