TO REQUEST FIELD SERVICE:
CALL LATHROP ANIMAL SERVICES AT 209-941-7240
Each year, Lathrop Animal Services picks up over 700 stray, injured, abused, aggressive
and dead animals within the City of Lathrop. These animals can pose a serious risk
to themselves, other animals and to the public's health.
Lathrop Animal Services Officers are responsible for enforcing local and state laws
regarding animals and their humane treatment. Animal Services Officers investigate
all reported bite cases and handle suspected rabid animals. They follow up on reports
of cruelty and neglect, and capture and shelter lost and injured animals. They also
pick up dead or injured stray pets and wildlife.
