Community Development Block Grant
The City of Lathrop allocated funds each year for the Community Development Block
Grant and the HOME Investment Partnership Program. Both programs are federally funded
ans sponsored by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD). The City
recieves an allocation of funds each fiscal year under the Urban Cooperative Agreement
with San Joaquin County and the cities of Escalon, Lodi, Manteca, Ripon, and Tracy.
A portion of the CDBG funds, no more than 15% in accordance with the Agreement,
can be allocated to service organizations. From the time that rule went into effect,
the remainder of the CDBG Funds and all of the HOME have been allocated to theHousing
Rehabilitation Program which is run by San Joaquin County on behalf of the City
of Lathrop.
