City Council

City Council meetings are held at City Hall the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Agendas are available on Thursday at noon before each meeting. The official agenda is posted outside of city hall in a display case, at the Lathrop Post Office, Lathrop Community Center and at the Fire Station. Special meetings are scheduled and posted as needed.

Council meetings are taped and then televised on your local broadcast cable channel 97 at 7:00 PM on Tuesday and Noon on Wednesday following the Council Meeting.

Building Standards & Codes

THE CITY OF LATHROP BUILDING DIVISION has adopted and is currently enforcing the following codes:

  • 2007 California Building Code
  • 2007 California Electrical Code
  • 2007 California Plumbing Code
  • 2007 California Mechanical Code
  • 2007 California Energy Code
  • 2006 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa & Hot Tub Code

The current Structural Consideration are as follows:

  • Wind Speed = 85 MPH, Exposure C
  • Soils Report required on new construction (CBC 1802)
  • Seismic - Category D
  • Climate = Zone 12
  • Walls Retaining Soil = 80 PCF (pounds per cubic foot) Saturated Soil Rating
  • Minimum Roof Live Loads are per 2007 CBC Table 2308.10.3(1)
