The City Manager is appointed by and is accountable to the City Council to manage the day-to-day affairs of the City. The City Manager administers the policy directives of the City Council; coordinates the efforts of the various City departments; and represents the City at various functions. As City Treasurer, the City Manager is responsible for the depository of all receipts and revenues; investment of City funds; and safely depositing moneys to receive competitive interest rates.
