The goal of this project is to improve pedestrian accessibility and install sustainable landscaping within the Stonebridge Community.
Pedestrian accessibility will be improved by removing and replacing damaged sidewalk segments throughout the neighborhood; this will ensure that walkways are compliant with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
Landscape improvements along major corridors in the Stonebridge Community are over 20 years old. Replacing the irrigation system and installing appropriate landscaping will allow for more efficient use of water and reduce the long-term operations and maintenance costs.
This project will be carried out in multiple phases, allowing for efficient coordination, minimal disruption to residents, and careful attention to safety throughout the process.
Phase 1 of the project is scheduled along Slate Street, extending from Stonebridge Lane to Harlan Road. To minimize disruption and maintain continuous vehicular and pedestrian access for residents, the contractor will work in targeted, phased sections.
Weather permitting, construction is expected to be completed by March 12, 2027.
