City staff has been working on a new bridge project that will connect Golden Valley Parkway to River Islands and this will most likely be built in the next two years. Once built, Stewart Road and that portion of Manthey will be closed to traffic so any lighting improvements will be temporary. In addition, there is no electricity on those sections of roadway to connect streetlights to, making it very expensive to do so. At this time, the City does not have funding to install temporary lighting but we will note this location and keep an eye out for grant or other funding opportunities.
