With Lathrop not doing much of anything unless someone actually complains, here is a complaint, in writing, that needs action.

With the opening of the Lunch truck eatery in the old USA Motors car sales lot the truckers are taking it upon themselves to park in the turn lane and going over to the lunch trucks to get food.

They are parking in the turn lane, some times 3-4 at a time, and causing problems with being able to not only see cars trying to make the turn into the food court but also seeing people coming out from between the parked trucks. Cars coming out of the food court are in some cases unable to make a left turn from there to go down Harlan Rd. to the North.

I don't think just having the trucks emergency flashers on is enough or warrants their being able to park in the turn lane.

During their grand opening, the Lathrop police miss a great opportunity to write probably 40-50 parking tickets during the night for illegally parked cars going over to get food.

A grand opening does not make it legal to park along the side of the street where it is a No Parking area.

The food court parking is an accident just waiting to happen.

L.P.D needs to start writing tickets and enforcing the law, especially the no parking laws there.

 A concerned citizen.
