Good afternoon,

This issue has become a common theme around the Mossdale Neighborhood and today's incident was is what finally made me reach out to you. I was traveling southbound on McKee Boulevard approaching the all way stop intersection @ Crescent Moon Dr with the intention of making a left hand turn onto EB Crescent Moon Dr (left turn signal was on). As I came to a complete stop I noticed 2 young cyclists traveling NB on McKee in the bike lane approaching the intersection. As I began to navigate my left turn onto EB Crescent Moon Dr, the 2 cyclists ran through the stop sign. I slammed on my breaks and blew my horn...they started pointing at the stop sign and said that because they were in the bike lane I was supposed to remain stopped and yield to them while they're allowed to keep riding through. I told them that they are supposed to obey all traffic laws when they're in the street including stop signs. Of course they didn't agree and kept going. These type of incidents/near collisions involving cyclists that blatantly disobey traffic  laws seem to be more and more common in the neighborhood and it's really putting a lot of strain on motorists to constantly be aware reckless cyclists. I also believe that there is a good portion of the cyclist population in this neighborhood that is not fully educated on how traffic laws apply to cyclists in California. Is there anyway that additional signage can be installed around the neighborhood (at intersections) that alert/educate cyclists that they must obey the given traffic control devices. In addition, I would like to request (if at all possible) that PD be contacted to start ticketing reckless cyclists.

Thank you!
