Dear City Traffic and Safety Team,
I would like to report a safety concern regarding the parent drop off activity (which I believe is not a drop off) near the Mossdale Elementary School along McKee Blvd after the roundabout.
Many parents are currently using that area to stop and drop off children, including along or near the bike lane. This creates a dangerous situation for cyclists and pedestrians. My son was recently riding in the bike lane and was almost hit by a vehicle pulling into the drop off area unexpectedly.
I am requesting that the city review this location and consider additional traffic controls, signage, enforcement, or a safer designated drop off solution before someone gets seriously injured.
