Billboards for builder directory were recently installed on River Island Islands Parkway at each intersection. It is hard to see incoming traffic at some intersections (e.g., left turn to west River Islands Parkway from Bosch Avenue) because the billboard partially block traffic on the left side. Worse, a billboard blocks the stop sign on Sidwell Drive on the eastbound River Islands Parkway. I observed half of drivers did not stop or slow down yesterday. I can relate because the first time I drove through there, I did not see the stop until the last second. This condition creates an accident waiting to happen.
Regarding not stopping on stop signs, I also observed several drivers not stopping purposely on River Islands Parkway between Norbeck and Paradise Road. I realize that area is not that busy yet but that does not justify breaking the law. I suggest that an officer patrol the area especially on Friday afternoons during rush hour where drivers race their cars River Islands Parkway.
