Good evening,
Dear City of Lathrop Code Enforcement,
I am writing to formally request assistance regarding ongoing yard maintenance issues on Red Fox Drive (from Loon Street to Osprey Drive). I have previously submitted several requests through the Lathrop Care app, but the issue continues to persist.
Multiple properties along this stretch of Red Fox Drivea and surrounding streets have extremely overgrown weeds and poorly maintained front yards, with vegetation extending onto the public sidewalks. As a resident of Lathrop who frequently walks my children to the neighborhood park, these conditions have made it increasingly difficult to safely use the sidewalks.
In several locations, the weeds have grown very tall and have begun to obstruct the walkway. Additionally, trash has accumulated within the overgrown vegetation, which further contributes to the appearance of neglect and creates an unsanitary environment. This is particularly concerning given that these homes are part of newer developments and many are currently occupied.
The current conditions create both a public safety concern and a quality-of-life issue for residents who rely on the sidewalks for walking and recreation.
I respectfully request that Code Enforcement review these properties and address the yard maintenance violations to ensure sidewalks remain accessible and the neighborhood is properly maintained.
