Fight the Bite: Protect Yourself from Mosquitoes
Information provided by the San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District
Mosquito populations have increased as the weather has gotten warmer and this can cause concern for some residents. Please be advised that the Aedes aegypti mosquito (although a major nuisance in our County right now) does NOT pose a health risk as it has not been documented to carry virus and/or disease in this region.
Please watch this short video that the San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District created to better inform the public of the invasive mosquito species in our area, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmeyn_CbgwQ
