CITY OF LATHROP - NOTICE INVITING BIDS / NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

RIVER ISLANDS PARKWAY WIDENING PROJECT PHASE 2, CIP PS 06-06

The City of Lathrop invites sealed bids for the construction of public improvements for CIP PS 06-06 River Islands Parkway Widening Project Phase 2.  Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lathrop, located at 390 Towne Centre Drive, Lathrop, CA until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.  Bids submitted by mail shall be addressed to: City of Lathrop, Attention City Clerk / SEALED BID FOR CIP PS 06-06, 390 Towne Centre Drive, Lathrop, CA 95330.  The bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 PM on June 29, 2021, in the City of Lathrop Council Chamber.

Contractors considering bidding on this project must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Lathrop City Hall, 390 Towne Centre Drive, Lathrop, CA  95330.

Contractors attending the pre-bid meeting and bid opening will be requested to wear to a face covering, and social distancing rules will be enforced.

The work to be performed under this contract is generally described as, but not necessarily limited to, widening River Islands Parkway near I-5 southbound on/off ramp, signal modification, extending storm drainage line to new curb, removing and replacing curb ramps, pavement overlay and restriping travel lanes.

In accordance with SB 854, all contractors who bid or work on Public Works projects for the City of Lathrop are subject to the following requirements:

DIR Registration.  Each Bidder submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials and/or services (“Work”) subject to this procurement must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 (“DIR Registered Contractor”).  A Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for Work is deemed “not qualified” and the proposal of such a Bidder will be rejected as non-responsive.  Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, all Subcontractors identified in a Bidder’s Subcontractors’ List shall be DIR Registered Contractors.  If awarded the Contract for the Work, at all times during performance of the Work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors, of any tier, shall be DIR Registered Contractors.
