Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, the City of Lathrop does not accept owner surrenders. We recommend reaching out to family or friends who may be able to provide a home, posting on social media or community pet groups, and contacting local animal rescues or shelters that may have resources or placement options available.  We understand this can be a difficult decision and appreciate you taking the time to find a responsible and caring solution for your dog.

Best regards,

Community Services Division
