Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to the city’s attention. Gophers and moles are common in gardens and yards. Animal control does not respond to such animals. If you find gophers to be a nuisance in your yard, you may want to invest in an exterminator that specializes in extracting these type of animals. If you have any questions, please contact the Community Services Division at 209-647-6430. Thank you.

Gophers, moles, or voles

Afternoon,

I have been having a problem since 2021, every time I have planted a tree or flowers in my backyard along my fence line they seem to die upon examining the roots I found that an animal (most likely a gopher, mole, or voles) have been chewing on the roots causing the plants to die. I don't know if the animals are coming from my neighbors house due to their backyard being super dirty and having gopher mounds all over. If someone can contact me so we can get this issue resolved I would appreciate it.

Pigeons

What do the city do, to control the rooftop pigeons drops?
