On March 11, 2026, the San Joaquin Fair Housing, Inc., the nonprofit organization that provides education, mediation, housing assistance, complaint investigation, and resolution to landlords and tenants to residents in San Joaquin County closed. San Joaquin County is actively searching for an alternative provider, but in the interim, for those seeking housing assistance, please contact the Department of Fair Housing and Employment at (800) 884-1684. For those in need of legal assistance, please contact California Legal Services at (209) 946-0605.

The City of Lathrop is offering HOME programs for income-qualified individuals or families to assist them towards their dream of home ownership or simply make much-needed home repairs.
The City of Lathrop’s HOME loan funds are administered by the San Joaquin County Neighborhood Preservation Division and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The following links provide more information on available programs for Lathrop residents:
