The City of Lathrop is offering HOME programs for income-qualified individuals or families to assist them towards their dream of home ownership or simply make much-needed home repairs. 

The City of Lathrop’s HOME loan funds are administered by the San Joaquin County Neighborhood Preservation Division and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  The following links provide more information on available programs for Lathrop residents:

Property Rehabilitation Program  

The intent of the HOME Program is:

  • To provide decent affordable housing to low-income households,
  • To expand the capacity of nonprofit housing developers,
  • To strengthen the ability of state and local governments to provide housing, and
  • To leverage private-sector participation

Eligible activities include:

  • Homeowner housing rehabilitation
  • Homebuyer activities
  • Acquisition, rehabilitation, or construction of rental housing
  • Tenant-based rental assistance
  • Other activities conducted in conjunction with the above activities, including acquisition of vacant land, site improvements, and refinancing
