                Thank you for your inquiry regarding Fire Hydrants here within the City of Lathrop. Unfortunately, the California Fire Code requires our Fire Hydrants to be painted their color based on what the available gallons per minute in the event of a fire. Approved color coordination is industry standard in the Fire Service.

Fire hydrants

Could we consider an auction fundraiser for the city/fire department/schools where winners are chosen to decorate fire hydrants, based on the highest donations, in the brightest most colorful ways possible. Could be done every few years for sustainable income. Other cities have done it. Milaca, MN would be an example.

Short Term Rental

Hi, I want to list my 4 bedroom house in Lathrop as short term rental, such as on Airbnb. Is that allowed? If so, do I need a permit, and/or pay any extra fees/taxes? Thank you

Request Elementary School in the Lathrop near River islands

Request elementary school in Lathrop near Stanford Crossing area. Lathrop has expanded to many population. Many people has resided to Lathrop near stanford crossing and Target areas but outside of River Islands. River Islands has their own schools. Lathrop residents like myself who moved in Lathrop but about 1-2miles outside of River Islands, have to take my kids to school 3 miles far out and the school was assigned was overflowing.
